Ouija Boxes

Here's the original box to my favorite Parker Brothers board...the Deluxe Wooden Edition.  Parker Brothers made these for a very short time in the late sixties.  They represented a great time in Ouija history as far as quality of materials goes.  If only they hadn't stopped production.  I can tell some hippie owned this board before me...the inside of the box has "Peace & Love" scribbled about a hundred times...
This box goes to the great Genii Board from the late 1960s.  This particular box was shipped to the owner from the factory so I'm guessing it was a mail-order board.  (The original owner's name and address were scribbled out on the back.)  Amazingly, the board came with anactual paper instruction book...a rarity for talking boards.
This was Milton Bradley's stab at a game based on the paranormal.  In my opinion, this doesn't actually count as a channeling board since it uses a pendulum instead of a planchette.  However, because of the nature of the game, I couldn't resist listing it here.  This game is from 1966...just about when Parker Brothers was buying the Ouija Board.
Here's another "non-Ouija" board box, only this time it's made by Parker Brothers.  It was another attempt to appeal to the metaphysical side of society.  It was centered around a divining rod instead of a planchette.  The box is made taller than it is wide which is very rare for pretty much any board game...not to mention Ouija boards.
