William Fuld / Parker Brothers
Page 2
William Fuld realized that not everyone could afford his extraordinary
Ouija boards.  So...he released an imitation of his Ouija board called
"Mystifying Oracle."  Aside from the name and a lower price tag, they were
exact replicas of each other.  This board is from the 1950's.  Mystiying
Oracle boards are much harder to come by for some reason.  The design of
this board is pretty much the standard for Parker Brothers' Ouija boards
today.
This is the latest addition to the Ouija phenomenon (1998.)  It is made by
Parker Brothers.  They have totally done away with the William Fuld name.
This board is very small (11"x15.5").  In fact, it's the smallest board I've ever
seen.  It suffers from lack of detail, too.  It does, however, glow in the dark.
It's actually pretty bright.  The glow lasts for about half an hour.  It's a
pretty creepy green glow so I guess this board isn't without it's good points.
I only bought this board for my collection.
This is definitely another of my favorites...it seems like I say that about all of
them, huh?  This board's from the 40s and is pretty huge...22"x15".  It's
made of some type of wood that has been veneered on both sides with a
higher quality wood.  It looks really extraordinary in person, these pictures
just don't do these boards justice.  Notice the freaky looking scary people in
the lower corners...  On today's boards, they have been replaced with
friendlier looking people...how sad.
This board is my most prized William Fuld board.  It's from 1920 and is in
pretty much perfect condition which is pretty amazing.  The board and
planchette were even still in their original boxes!  This is another huge
board - 22"x15" and it's really thick too.  This board still features the
pentagrams.  In my own opinion, this board represents when Ouija boards
were at the peak of their artistic beauty.  However, it's pretty much all gone
down hill from then.
